Despite a good start by AKS, showing powerful running from Brandon and Franklin, Manchester took the first points capitalising on an AKS error against the run of play wide in corner. AKS showed power at the maul and ruck causing problems for the visitors and despite strong tackling from Roman and Christopher. Manchester RGS were able to again capitalise on AKS mistakes to score three further tries in the half.
In the second half Morgan used the wind to pressure Manchester and with a cross field kick to Christopher. AKS looked set to score, only to be denied by a resolute Manchester defense. With pressure building, Manchester RGS gave away a penalty allowing Morgan to kick to the corner. This allowed Tristan to crash over from the driving maul. With the score at 26-7 AKS looked like they would draw closer only to be denied by simple errors. Manchester finished the game well with a try from the 9, who had looked sharp throughout the game. final score 7-31 to Manchester RGS.
