Today, Year 3B enjoyed a fabulous morning in the Senior School with Mrs Ames, who teaches history, to learn about Stone Age artefacts. There were three activities: match the object to the description, guess the artefact and making flour. Each group had a turn at each activity. We all had some great guesses and ideas for the objects. Here are our thoughts and reflections of the morning:
Ava said with astonishment, “I can’t believe people’s ashes were put in pottery pots.”
Samuel said, “The miner’s candle surprised me because it sounded a bit strange.”
“I thought that the stone blades were just stones but they were actually stone blades for cutting and digging,” said Maanav.
“My favourite thing was making flour because we got to smash the seeds with rocks,” said Sophia.
