The Reception children spent a delightful afternoon at the beach learning and exploring colour and texture with the Park View Rangers and the Wild Life Trust. The tide had only just gone out and so there were many fabulous things to explore including sea potatoes. We began the session by trying to find three things which were similar such as three pebbles, three grey objects or three stripy objects.
We used our objects to recreate an Andy Goldsworthy art creation and from that, we decided on two favourites. One group made a spiral creation whilst the other focused on size, starting from the hole in the centre to larger objects on the outside. Thankfully, the rain stayed away just long enough for us to have a great afternoon learning about beach art.
