Silver D of E expeditions; Sunshine and smiles without the April showers
Our Silver D of E expedition was not easy, but there were moments that were actually quite enjoyable. Luckily the weather stayed pleasant throughout all three days, which was not something we had prepared for, so many of us returned home with very sunburnt faces.
Along with the beautiful weather we were also walking in a scenic area near Ingleton surrounded by magnificent hills. However they became less magnificent when we finally realised we were going to have to walk up them as part of our 17km daily trek. Not a welcoming thought to us after waking up at 6am. However, eight hours later when we were finally resting our sore feet at the campsite and enjoying a warm meal we began to think it might have been worthwhile.
